Plastic Bottles

Are those all plastic bottles?

Yes, they are our propriety design with a unique flare and label protection panel.

Are they bad for the environment?

That depends how you look at it. Plastic bottles are less than half the weight of glass bottles and our plastic bottles are made within 1,000 miles of us, never having to sit on a cargo freighter ship in port, after taking a long trip from where most of America gets it glass bottles: China or Sri Lanka. Our bottles have a much smaller carbon footprint than the glass that is shipped to California, or even worse...Florida, via the Panama Canal.

Are the flexible and cheap?

No. The preforms we use are heavy duty, so they feel like glass. We bottle at 5280 feet above sea level, and believe it or not, shipping to sea level wasn't easy before these bottles. They would suck in at lower elevations, but not anymore! These bottles are THICK like glass and are hard as nails. They feel good in your hands and BOUNCE when they fall onto the floor.

What about BPA?

These are virgin PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles which are certified BPA-FREE. They not considered to be single-use bottles like those use by Coca-Cola or Pepsi either, since most people do not use a full bottle in one sitting, but some people try!

Can they be recycled?

Yes. PET is the most recyclable plastic in America.

Can I reuse it after it's empty?

It's not recommended. If you put water into it, it'll probably be stained with a strong, familiar taste and smell of hot sauce. The bottles do not affect the sauce at all.

What about shipping?

Glass bottles require a load of packing material, plastic bottles don't. Most companies can ship 48 glass bottles in a shipping box, padding it with either foam, extra paper, or the worst thing ever: PACKING PEANUTS. We pack up to 96 hot sauce bottles into a box, using only the cardboard case boxes and the shipping box. No big mess to clean up, no unnecessary supplies wasted.
